See who doesn't follow you back on Instagram
Ask Instagram for a copy of your data in JSON and drop the .zip here. The comparison between who you follow and who follows you appears right away, in your browser, with no login and no password. Your file isn't sent to any server, and no third-party app gets access to your account.
No one on this list.
Why we ask for a file and not your password
An app that asks you to log in so it can show who unfollowed you gets the keys to your account. This works differently: Instagram itself hands your data to you, through the export described in its Help Center, and this page just compares two lists already on your device. You can check that yourself: once the page has loaded, turn off your internet and drop the file. It works the same.
Instagram's menus get renamed over time, and the official help now mentions Meta Account instead of Accounts Center. If you can't find an item, use the search inside Settings. The help page warns that an export can take up to 30 days. Asking only for Followers and following, without photos or messages, keeps the file much smaller.
JSON, not HTML
Exports come in HTML or JSON. HTML is made for reading in a browser, and JSON is made for another program to read. If you asked for HTML, the tool will tell you and you'll need to request it again. We accept both JSON layouts seen in exports so far: one has the name in value and the other in title, with a link in the /_u/name format.
What the list doesn't show
- It's a snapshot: it reflects the day of the export. Changes after that don't appear.
- Deactivated accounts count: accounts that were switched off can show up and lead to an empty page.
- Renamed accounts: people who changed their @ appear under the name they had on export day.
- It doesn't say who unfollowed you: that would take comparing two exports from different dates.
Before you start unfollowing everyone, remember that brands, news outlets and artists don't usually follow back, and that says nothing about you. Taking lots of actions in a short time can also draw Instagram's attention, as we explain in our shadowban guide.
How to download your data and see the list
- On Instagram, open More (or your profile), then Settings, and go to Accounts Center, which some accounts show as Meta Account.
- Tap Your information and permissions, then Export your information, then Create export.
- Pick your profile and choose Export to device.
- Customize it: under information, select only Followers and following. Under format, choose JSON. For the date range, choose all time.
- Tap Start export. Instagram emails you when it's ready, and the file stays in Available downloads for 4 days.
- Download the .zip and drop it in the box above. If you'd rather, open the .zip and drop only followers_1.json and following.json.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe? Can you see my followers?
We can't. Your browser reads the file and nothing is sent. This tool has no account, no login and no database.
How long does Instagram take to release my data?
It varies. The official help mentions up to 30 days, and you get an email when it's done. After that you have 4 days to download it.
I got an error saying the file is HTML. What do I do?
You exported in HTML. Request a new export, choose JSON as the format and use the new file.
I have lots of followers and got several files. Will it work?
Yes. Inside the .zip, the tool merges followers_1.json, followers_2.json and the rest. If you drop files by hand, select them all at once.
Can I see who viewed my profile?
No. That data isn't in the export, and you should be wary of any service promising it.
